I really hope everyone enjoyed their Easter Day with family.
We spent the day pretty quietly (well, somewhat quietly) with my mother and grandmother. My brother and sister were not into the Easter spirit, but eh, what can you do? They are grown adults, they make their own decisions.
I would say that the day was drama free, but it never seems to happen that way. My grandmother’s home care woman was going through a bad case of “I need attention.” She refused to sit with my grandmother and help her out when she’s eating. I’m all for keeping people employed, but oh man, if you’re not going to help out the client, it’s time to move on.
My grandmother suffered a stoke back in 2002 that left her somewhat paralyzed on her right side. So that means she needs help walking and cutting things up since she only has one functioning hand.
That does not mean she doesn’t have a functioning mind or mouth. Regardless of my grandmother being in her 80s, she has a mouth on her. I learned from a very long time ago to NOT get on her bad side.
But even through all the drama, we all still managed to have a good time, and Zee managed to charm her way into get a balloon from the restaurant owner.
My family has one last event for April (Mr. C’s and my Mom’s birthday are on the same day). As much fun as April is, I’m really looking forward to the break in May. Oops spoke too soon, just remembered Mother’s Day.
So how was your Easter?
