Pancake-Ready

One thing that I love about mornings, is making something that I know is not only good but the whole family is going to enjoy.  What makes it even more wonderful is to make something and know that I didn’t have to break the bank to do it.

When I cooked this batch of pancakes, I was thinking about keeping it to myself, but of course the blogger in me wants to share.

In these days, it’s so easy to just take out a pre-mix batter and just throw it together.  But did you know it’s so easy to make pancakes?

Most, if not all of these ingredients we all have in the house and it’s super quick. This recipe is a basic one, but it’s a classic.

The best part about this recipe is that you can always build from this.

If you try it, let me know!

  • 2 tbsp of oil (I like to use olive for health benefits)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup of milk (we use soy milk)
Instructions
  1. Mix the dry ingredients well, then add wet ingredients.
  2. Mix well until all the egg has been incorporated in the batter.
  3. Let rest for 5 minutes.

Notes
Want them really fluffy? Separate the egg white from the yolk and beat it separately until stiff. Then fold the egg white into the batter.[br][br]Also, this can easily be made into whole wheat pancakes just by changing the flour to whole wheat flour!
