Today, I am linking up with Michelle from Divas With A Purpose–Thankful Thursday.
This Thursday, I am thankful for counting. Yes counting.
I count when I’m frustrated, so that I can remind myself of purpose. Then I calm down.
I count on my loved ones to help when they can, and they know they can count on me as well.
I count to play, and sing and laugh with my children.
I count on my husband, as he does with me.
I am very thankful for counting, because it has so many different meanings to me.
If you haven’t been over at Michelle’s Divas With A Purpose Blog for a Thankful Thursday, then you should really check her out!
Thanks for linking up, Kalley!!! I love this and your using “counting” in multiple contexts. With 3 different stages in my household – toddler (read almost terrible twos!), five year old and the lovely tween years – I relay on numbers 1-10 quite a bit!!!! I, also, try to give each of my kiddos enough one-on-one time so they realize and remember that they each count and have an important role in our household 🙂
Happy Thursday!!!
Thank YOU Michelle for hosting a Thankful Thursday. I always love reading your Thursday post on your blog and I am so happy when I see those posts in my reader.
I hope you have a terrific Thursday 🙂
The lyrics to the song, “you can count on me” comes to mind. Stay blessed and enjoy the rest of your day!
Hi there! I found you via the Thankful Thursday linkup. I like your counting method. I may have to try that when I get frustrated or anxious….I need a calming mechanism.
Hi Kathryn! Welcome to my blog nod make yourself at home.
Counting really does work. I even tried counting backwards from 99 by 3 to really calm down so that I don’t say anything that I will regret later. By the time you get to 50 you’ll be focused on getting down to 1 that you would have already calmed down.
I’d you try it, let me know if it works for you.
Have a blesses day!
