Dear Lord,
In passages, you have taught us that we must love our neighbors as we love ourselves. Not only have You taught this through words Lord, but have shown us through the actions of Your only Son.
Thank you Lord for the shining example that you have given us. Thank you for the opportunity to know exactly how we are to carry out this great commandment.
There are times that we may forget that there are others who are in need of our love and forgiveness, please remind us that acts of forgiveness are acts of love.
Please let us turn the other cheek when transgressions are done against us, and let us pray that we are as easily forgiven when we do something wrong.
Amen.
I love this prayer. I’m so glad I popped in from Deidra’s!
Thank you so much Elizabeth for dropping by! Have a great week!
Turning the other cheek… perhaps the hardest of Jesus’s teachings to follow. But there is great liberty when we actually obey and do what He says here! Praying for grace for us all to turn that other cheek, Kalley.
That os one of the hardest lessons to follow rough on. But I agree with you, there is great liberty and peace when we do what he teaches. Wishing you a very blessed week Alison!
Amen! Simple but powerful prayer. Forgiveness sets us free and empowers us to do the extra-ordinary and unthinkable things the glorifies our Father in heaven.
Well said Yvonne! It is in that freedom where we find true peace. Have a blessed week!
