Dear Lord,
As we now our heads and pray for your blessing, please be with us.
We know that You have taught us how to pray, and somehow the words just seem to flow.
Remind us that the longest prayer may not always be better and that Your ears are on us no matter the length.
Please be with us in our moment of peace or when we are going through a crisis–either way we know your presence will be felt.
Thank you for all that you do, and listening to our humble prayers.
Amen.
“The longest prayer may not always be better!” Oh yes, but He listens to them all and responds in His own way. Amen, and thanks Kalley!
So true Alison, he does listen to them all. Small, long, short, it doesn’t matter. Just a simple “Lord, have mercy.” is heard as well. 🙂
So true! At times when the world is pressing us down, a deep sigh while whispering Jesus’ name, is a great prayer!
Blessings XX
Mia
Very true Mia, it doesn’t take much to get heard by our Lord. 🙂
‘ the longest prayer may not always be better ‘ … ain’t that the truth, Kalley … maybe those simple breath prayers are the most telling, ’cause they continue on and on, in one endless conversation with our Maker.
Very true and very telling Linda. It is in those simple breaths, or “talking out loud” prayers is what we need to have a conversation with our Lord. Regardless of how we do it, there is no right or wrong way.
Another beautiful prayer you shared with us. And so true on how long or short it should be. I hope all is well on your end. And you having a Bless Sunday.. God Bless 🙂
Thank you PJ! I hope you have a blessed week!
Amen and amen..words as simple as Lord have mercy on me is a powerful prayer that goes a long way.
I couldn’t have said it any better Yvonne. Sometimes, that’s all we need. Hope you have a great week!
Wonderful prayer! Thank you, for sharing and lifting. I am in the middle of creating map coasters and took a break to read your post. Thank you, for the inspiration! Back to work! Cynthia
You are very welcome Cynthia! I took a look at your esty shop and all your work looks so wonderful! I hope you have a great week!
“Thank you for all that you do.” Yes. This, exactly. Because there really are no words, are there?
There are no words Deidra. He is amazing at everything he does. I hope you have a blessed week!
This just what I needed to read and take into my Spirit today.
After reading Matthew 6 I learned just what you stated, the longest prayer may not be the best”. He knows our needs even before we speak them. =)
My heart is thankful for all He does. Thank you, Lord!
