Sunday Prayer: Change

Dear Lord,

Thank you for allowing me to wake up to a New Year.  You have given me a the most wonderful start for what is hopefully for the rest of the year.

In order to make it through another wonderful year, I want to always count my blessings.

Every December some of us make grand promises to make changes for the new year, to make things different; however, sometimes we forget that in order to make changes, we must actively seek it.

If there is a limitation in my thoughts about any changes I wish to make Lord, help me find it so that I can adjust it.

All my success will depend on my faith, and my willingness to adjust.

Just as you are a Lord of forgiveness, I need to remember that if I stumble one day, that I too must forgive myself.

Please grant me your guidance to keep me on my path.

Amen.
