Dear Lord,

We know that every now and then, things will disappoint us.  We put our hopes into a particular item or event, only to feel short-changed.

Help us remember that the only disappointment that we can feel is if we put too much stock in someone or something.

No one  can disappoint us, unless we give them that power.

Even with this knowledge Lord, You understand these things will still happen.

Please grant us the knowledge and discerning eyes to help us see fact from fiction.

Also, peace in our hearts to move on.
