This week’s Theme; Something Old Something New
Something Old…
For me this topic is really hard to think about since there were a lot of posts that I wrote that I am very happy with. However, if I was to pin it down to a few posts that I enjoyed the most it would be the following:
- I did my first Guest post over at Say What U Wanna, and it felt really great to shake off the fear of doing one, and just do it.
- Also for the first time, I dived into serious make up. By serious I mean foundation and all. It seems funny but before I did it, I never thought I would enjoy the whole process.
- Last but not least, it was the announcement of my pregnancy, and the birth of our son. We were so happy to have him last year. He came right on time. Right after Hurricane Sandy, and right before the Nor’easter that hit our New York area.
Something New…
I’ve joined the One Word challenge, and this year I chose Patience. Between Sandy, having my mother and brother temporary displaced, and having a new baby, I know I am going to need as much as this as possible. Also, I know I am going to need it for myself. There are times that I want to do so many things at once, that I end up not getting anything done. Instead, I end up with a list of things I want to do, and exhausted just looking at the list.
So I’m going to be patient. I’m going to focus on the now, if there is something that needs to get done, instead of putting it off for later, I’m going to do it right now. But in knowing this, I’m not going to beat myself up if I can’t finish it, I know it will get done.

I can’t function without makeup. I know that women my daughters age don’t wear as much. She rarely wears any and never has.
I can’t recall ever doing a guest post. Did you as or did the person ask you?
Hi Carli, welcome to my blog. To answer your question regarding the guest post, Kita, the owner of the blog, oped up the floor to receive guest posts. I then volunteered to do one for her site, since the floor was open. So I guess you can say, I saw an opportunity and I took it. 🙂
OMG, where have I been? You had a baby?????Congratulations. I am so excited for you. That is awesome. I miss seeing your face on my blog. Hope when you have some free time ( LOL< i Know that is few and far between with a new baby) would love to see you stop by again. Stay well, my friend.
