Sunday Prayer: Surrender

Dear Lord, Today is the day that I will throw my hands up and surrender everything to you.   All my fears, worries, anxieties will no longer be on my plate. Thank you Lord for listening to all our confers and worries, we know that you are a patience God. Even though our small problems is nothing compared to what Jesus went through, we do know that we must pick up our own cross and carry it. Please lord help us remember that we are not in this alone, and everyday–while a challenge–is always something we face with your help and assistance. Remind us that there are days when we must let go and let God....

Sunday Prayer: Spiritual Guidance

Dear Lord, As we gather together in groups in mass or service, we ask that you stay with us. Throughout our day, it is hard making the right decision, when sometimes the wrong decision is the easiest way. Guide us through our spiritual journey, and know that no journey is without rocks, and stones. Remind us that we will stumble, and fall, and we will get hurt–but we know that You are there to pick us back up and brush us off. Let us not lose hope or faith when things do not go our way, but let us be strengthened by our setbacks. Lord, we ask that we keep our vigil strong, and remember why are on this journey in the first place. For those who question our decisions–let our actions be the answers they seek....

Sunday Prayer: Possessions

Dear Lord, When ever we feel the need to hold on to our worldly possessions as if they are trophies, please remind us that what we have collected here on earth are only earthly things. Money, clothes, items will not accompany us when our name is called to meet you Lord. While these items can help us here on earth, let us not get caught up with the Joneses and try to outspend and out fox one another. Remind us Lord, that these possessions collected here on earth will remain on earth and have no bearing to our status at Your doors. Always remind us of our true purpose, and our true goal here–to worship You....

Sunday Prayer: Prayer

Dear Lord, As we now our heads and pray for your blessing, please be with us. We know that You have taught us how to pray, and somehow the words just seem to flow. Remind us that the longest prayer may not always be better and that Your ears are on us no matter the length. Please be with us in our moment of peace or when we are going through a crisis–either way we know your presence will be felt. Thank you for all that you do, and listening to our humble prayers....

Sunday Prayer: Reprieve from the Heat

Dear Lord, We thank you for everything that you have done and everything that you have made. Nothing you have made has even been made in vain, or in anger. For the past few weeks Lord, we have been under enormous heat. This weather is excellent for drying clothes and doing some outside activities, but we also know that this weather is not good for the sensitive. Lord, please watch over the firemen and women who must battle fires in this heat. Please look after young children and the elderly for they can perish in this heat. Please watch over our brothers and sisters who must work outdoors on construction sites, or in places that do not have air conditioning. Thank you Lord for those of us who have been able to afford air conditioning and enabling the electric company grids to handle to extra power. In our daily activities, let us be reminded that there are less fortunate people than us, and offering a bottle of water to help them out can make their day....

Sunday Prayer: Silent Justice

Dear Lord, There are many who have gone before us in unnatural ways.  Even though that the person who did them harm did not face repercussions for their actions, we know Lord there is really only one justice. Lord, we know that no man on earth can escape the sins that we commit.  We know that everyday we must pray for your forgiveness, and we must as for forgiveness in others. Of families who have lost a loved one before it was time for them to leave us, I pray that you watch over them, and give them peace in knowing that your justice is the only one that truly matters. Amen.  ...
